Re: Help autoresponder!
hi, I had the same problem.
You will have to edit the step 1 file manually, because Text Crawler does not insert the TrafficWave code correctly.
You can edit the step 1 file by right-clicking on the file and choosing the Edit option. It will come up as a text file.
You will find a little bit of TrafficWave code near the bottom (do a "Find" for TrafficWave if you can't see it, or if you are using the original file, look for "WebFormCode").
Then put your TrafficWave form code in that place.
AWeber is the Cadillac, so if you are using TrafficWave (like me) sometimes it takes a little more effort, but you will get there : )

Aweber
I am not able to use AWeber as I do not have a credit card.
I have subscribed to TrafficWave for a one month trial but I am
totally lost as to how to set this up and use it with mysurfbiz.
If I do not get some help with this I will not be able to ever
have mysurfbiz set up properly so I can actually try to make
some money from it.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Help autoresponder!
hi Trudy,
You will need to create a campaign(list) for your MySurfBiz, and then get the form code for that campaign.
This pdf will show you how:
How To Get Your Form Code at TrafficWave
Once you have your form code, you need to insert it into the step1 page where it says WebFormCode. You can't use the Text Crawler for that, it won't do it, so you need to edit that file manually. Just right-click on the step1 file to edit.

Re: Help autoresponder!
Thank you so much for your reply.
I have set up my campaign in trafficwave but now I am
having a problem with getting the code.
My adobe reader is not working properly so I uninstalled it.
I am trying to download it once again but for some reason
it is not working.
Is there some way you could send me the information I need
without using acrobat reader.
Thanks

Re: Help autoresponder!
Hi Trudy,
now that you've set up your campaign in TrafficWave, mouseover the Capture Pages/Forms tab and click on Capture Forms.
You will see a preview of your form (it will be plain, unlike the one at AWeber).
Scroll down until you see the form code in a box at the bottom of the page.
You need to copy&paste that code into the place where it says WebFormCode in your Step1 file.
Don't try to use Text Crawler for this, it won't work. You'll have to manually find "WebFormCode" in the Step1 file and replace it with the form code. Then save.

Hi Carol,
I want to thank you for taking so much time to help me.
I have followed your instructions and found the code but I am not sure how to place the code
in my Step1 file. When I bring up my step1 file I see where it says WebFormCode but I am not
able to paste

Re: Help autoresponder!
Hi Trudy, you are welcome.
When you right-click on the Step1 file and click on Edit, you should get a text document. Are you seeing a text document at that point?
Then you should be able to highlight the word WebFormCode and replace it with the form code.

Re: Help autoresponder!
On my system it comes up as a Firefox document, and then when I right-click and choose Edit it opens it in a notepad file.
Perhaps you don't have Firefox, maybe that is why you are having this problem? You could download Firefox and see if that helps.

Re: Help autoresponder!
I think once you have installed Firefox, your system will know that Step1 is a Firefox file, and will treat it accordingly, and then you will have that option.
If not, we'll go to Plan B

Before I download firefox I need to know if I will have to have to redownload my files that are on my desktop or if it will transfer them

Re: Help autoresponder!
I believe that your existing files will be ok to use, you don't have to reload them.
Re: Help autoresponder!
I downloaded firefox but when I open it it only shows a blank page. None of the item on my desktop are there.carolssurfbiz wrote:I believe that your existing files will be ok to use, you don't have to reload them.
I am afraid I have to stop for tonight. I have lost a whole day trying to get this set up and I am no closer than
when I started. I am starting to think I may have wasted more money by purchasing this. I really don't believe
there should be this much set up when you pay almost $10.
I will try again tomorrow, but if I don't find an easier way to get this set up I'm afraid I will have to give up
and get back to work on my marketing the way I was doing it before. I really thought this would help me
but now I feel that I have just wasted a day and lost money I could have made today.
Thank you so much for trying to help me out. I really appreciate it.

Re: Help autoresponder!
Your step1 file will still be on your desktop. You don't need to go into Firefox to edit it.
Try again in the morning.
If you still can't do it, then email me your form code and i'll add it to the step 1 file for you. I'll pm you my email address.

The missing link - how to edit that Step1 file without Text Crawler
There is another way to edit that Step1 file to add your TrafficWave code.
Right-click on the Step1 file and choose the "open with" option.
Then open it with Notepad.
The autoresponder code WebFormCode or the A/R code you tried to replace it with will be near the bottom.
When finished, use the Save option to save that file.
