Post  suzan1 Fri Nov 18, 2011 8:11 am

So what autoresponder are you using? I couldn't get the aweber one set up at all. I had trouble putting in the email address, it just wouldn't take it for some reason.

Thanks,

I'd much also like to switch my autoresponder to listwire as well my problem is not familar with how to do that.
I believe that would be much better than aweber the $1 trial membership isn't bad just the $19 that comes after month after month adds up. I'm sure this could also be dissuading alot signups to convert to buying the kit as well.

AWeber works best with mysurfbiz, but TrafficWave and ListWire are ok too.

If you want to know how to use ListWire, grab a copy of Build Your List with Ease, it shows you step by step how to use it. The only thing you will need to do differently for MySurfBiz is to copy the javascript instead of html for the form code.

Rick has created instructions for using TrafficWave on this page:

Autoresponders Empty Re: Autoresponders

I would like to make an observation about paying for an autoresponder
or, for that matter, paying for any essential tool in your online business.

I understand that the cost each month adds up and this could be difficult on
a tight budget, and sometimes "free" is the only way you can afford to go.

However, in my experience "free" is seldom totally free, as there is usually a price
to be paid, either in your time, effort, or other conditions or limitations.

One way to offset the cost of any online tool is to use an optin form that requires
confirmation. As soon as your subscriber confirms their request for information, they
can be taken to your own custom thank you page, where you have included your
autoresponder or tool affiliate referral.

As I have discovered, some subscribers will sign up for that tool even though they
do not or have not yet joined your primary offer!

Bear in mind too that the cost of an autoresponder could be tax deductible as an
expense of your business, but you should check that with the tax rules where you live.

Hi Jude, that is a really nice thank you page : )

Yours is self-hosted.

And now that people have their own WebStarts account, they can create one too if they have any idea how to do it.

Maybe someone can create the html for a simple one which people can upload with a few changes? Any html wiz out there?

You can also make a thank you page with rotating ads for free at TEToolbox, here is mine:
http://www.tetoolbox.com/thanks/carolw44/

Of course, at the moment most MSB people have their step2 page in place of the thank you page in their autoresponder setup, but it's good to know this for your other lists.

Autoresponders Empty RE About autoresponders

Post  nicainet Sun Nov 27, 2011 10:36 am

Hi,

In my personal opinion I would NOT use FREE autoresponders as in general they give less or poor results with an increased bouncing rate. This means that not always the emails your autoresponder site send out will not reach their destinations. This, in turn results in LESS sales!

There is also the issue of CONFIDENCE. Many people would have less problem filling in their data on a webform of a well known and respected autoresponder form than on a form managed by a less known "obscure" company! If you would set up a Brick and Mortal business would you set up shop in the poor outside skirts of town or look for the better positioned locations? I am sure the top locations will give better results. It's an issue of WILLING TO INVEST in your business. Remember, your autoresponse provider is like your visiting card you give out to your prospects / clients!

The reason is that the autoresponders have to spend considerable resources and time to maintain good contacts with the email providers and take all the necessary actions to prevent their email addresses from being marked as spam. Obviously, free autoresponders don't have that much resources available to do so.

I have used with great success and without problems GetResponse to include my webform in MySurfBiz. The procedure to design the form is a little different but including the form code in Step1 was as easy as a piece of cake!

Best regards,

Autoresponders Empty What about residual income?

Post  davidlemon Sun Nov 27, 2011 11:03 am

One of the benefits of using Aweber is the residual income opportunity. If you don't use Aweber are you able to refer people to other autoresponders for the MSB set up?

Autoresponders Empty Residual income

Post  nicainet Sun Nov 27, 2011 11:34 am

David is very right. When choosing a autoresponder you should also take into consideration the opportunity to receive residual income for referring other people to it. Aweber, GetResponse and many other paid-for auto responders provide this additional income earning opportunity!

hi David, referrals to autoresponders are not built in to MSB, but I guess you can tell your downline about your preferred autoresponder in the emails...
