sorry, I don't know why this is happening.

if you are using the Edit Site link in Webstarts, then clicking on Insert, then choosing the file option, you should be ok.

otherwise i might have to leave your question for Rick...

Pt2 Still a Pain

Post  unitypro1 on Tue Oct 11, 2011 1:33 pm

Thanks for your concern,
I have done so 4 times and each time it tells me that the files are not supported.
But if I open the file from the desktop I can see the page and all of the banner referral
ids have been change to my id properly. My problem is that the files are no supported
at webstarter. Yes if you don't have the answer Please pass it to Rick, I'd like to know
what I'm doing wrong or whats wrong with the upload process am using. confused

Something is wrong here

Post  unitypro1 on Wed Oct 12, 2011 12:38 pm

After unzipping this files and saving to my desktop the files should upload to webstarts right.
I've done this over & over again and still I'm getting the same error message ( This file is not supported )
Is it possible that the original download is corrupt?
Maybe if you resend the page to me and I download from the new page things will workout.

hi unitypro, have you tried uploading using a different browser (say Firefox instead of IE)?

That did'nt work, now what?

Post  unitypro1 on Thu Oct 13, 2011 7:05 pm

Well I cleared all of the files and downloaded from the new link you sent.
Went through the whole process again, and STILL THE SAME MESSAGE:
( THESE FILES ARE NOT SUPPORTED ) Mad

There must be something that can fix this, do you have any Techs on hand?
This is a good program and I really want to get it up and running.

Thanks I have an idea

Post  unitypro1 on Thu Oct 13, 2011 8:37 pm

I might have a solution, I'm going to reconfigure my settings.
I am running windows7 sp1, but I just realized my settings are for windows XP sp2
this could have been affecting the files. So I'm going to remove everything again
and give it another try. I'll get back to you tomorrow on my progress. study Idea

Hey unitypro,

I am sorry that you are having this problem. This doesn't make sense if your files are unzipped and named properly. I see
you say that you are using Firefox, have you tried using Internet Explorer and uploading the files?

Sometimes switching browsers can help with a Webstarts problem.

Also, I apologize if there's a delay in my help sometimes, please feel free to email me at rick@mysurfbiz.com and feel free
to bug the hell out of me in order to get my attention lol.

Try switching browsers and tell me how that goes buddy.

Thanks,
Rick Thomas
